Built in 1948 by Police Chief Everett Bristol, the 22-room Bristol is Steamboat’s oldest hotel (pictured here). Each room has old-fashioned radiators, rustic log furniture and private bath. The indoor Jacuzzi tub overlooks Main street, and the on-site restaurant and bar, Mazzola's, serves Italian food. The free city shuttle runs to the Steamboat Ski Area every 10 minutes during the winter months.

The hotel restaurant has a reputation for excellent food and a good wine list, and there is a new Buddha bar.
